Dealing a board…
One real board — dealt by the actual dice, one face up on each cube, exactly like tipping the tray out on your table. Find every word on it. Put a finger on the first letter, glide it across the rest, and lift when the word is done.
There is no clock, and nothing to press to begin. Take five minutes or take all week — the game saves itself, so you can close the tab and pick the same board back up later. A round ends when you clear the board or press Give up, and then you get to see everything you didn’t find.
The Daily is one board per variant per day — the same board for everybody, rolling over at midnight Eastern. That’s the whole point: a score is only interesting next to somebody else’s score on the same tray. You land on the first Daily you haven’t finished; New game lets you pick a different one, or a Random board dealt just for you.
No finger handy? Click the letters one at a time and press Enter to submit (Backspace takes one back). From the keyboard alone: tab to the tray, move with the arrow keys, take a letter with Space.
Letters must touch — sideways, up and down, or diagonally — and no cube can be used twice in one word. Sliding back onto the letter you came from takes it off again.
Stuck? Turn the board with the two 90° buttons. It is the same tray and the same words — but a grid you have stared at for ten minutes stops looking like letters, and a quarter turn shakes it loose.
Every word scores its official Boggle points: 3–4 letters are worth 1, five 2, six 3, seven 5, eight or more 11 (Super Big pays 2 per letter from nine letters up). Classic counts three-letter words; Big and Super Big need four.
On top of that the board pays bonuses for clearing pieces of it. Each one is a share of what the words it covers are worth, so a fat board pays a fat bonus:
Words you swipe that turn out not to be words cost you nothing. They’re counted, and the share card brags about them.
